    Overview. The Mask is not a fixed character but an entity with no name trapped inside an old jade mask. Once donning the old mask, the wearer becomes endowed with superpowers capable of bending. Oya is not averse to a bit of strong-arm stuff and has had a few conflicts with Shango — her consort — and Yemaya. She also keeps in touch with the dead and is a good ancestor guide.     Flor Fernandez Barrios was born in Cuba. She immigrated to the United States in when she was fourteen years old. She graduated in from International College with a Doctorate degree in Transpersonal Psychology. She is currently in private practice as a psychotherapist in Seattle. Her second book The Mask of Oy. Her first book, "Oya, the Mask" has always brought wonderful feedback from all those that have read it. That book has only been available as an E-Book so far. We decided that this book "Healing with the Orisha" is so well done that it had to go to print/5(2).
